Hello again.
Well, we’re happy to report that the Double Negative gang managed to attend CMJ and get itself back home in one piece. The week was a blur of shows, parties and lots of pizza. I don’t think the boys from Postcoitus will ever get over the greatness of chicken bacon pizza.
Now that we’re back home in The Town (That’s Oakland for those of you who aren’t down with the street), we’re getting back to business. November is all about The Fucking Ocean. Their debut album Le Main Rouge comes out next Tuesday, November 14th and they’ll soon be home from their whirlwind US tour. For you Bay Area kids, don’t miss the big CD release show at Bottom of the Hill on Thursday, November 16th. Check the shows page for all the details. If you want to preview the album or buy it online directly from us, take a look at our releases page.
In other Double Negative news, Death of a Party have finished their new album. We’ll be releasing it in early 2007. In the meantime, they have a few shows lined up, including a Double Negative showcase on December 2nd at the Hemlock Tavern in San Francisco. They’ll be joined by The Fucking Ocean and Postcoitus.
That’s about it. Do yourself a favor and order the new album form The Fucking Ocean. You won’t be sorry. We won’t be either, because putting out records is fucking expensive so we need money.
