Tempo No Tempo is the first Berkeley band to join the Double Negative family, but after more than a year of making waves in the Bay Area music scene, we think the boys will fit in nicely alongside their Oakland and San Francisco counterparts. By brewing a highly-danceable mix of post-punk and new wave (with a dash of emo), Tempo No Tempo allows their admirers to bust a move without losing cool points.

Repetition is the Tempo No Tempo’s second EP, a collection of songs the band wrote, recorded and mixed entirely at home. While their self-released 2006 debut The Get Down was impressive, Repetition shows a more mature band, one more confident in their songwriting skills and comfortable in their own musical shoes. We here at Double Negative Records are just happy to document their evolution.
